The drama is finally over, and now all that’s left is the throwing of the leather. Personally, I can’t wait to see Junie get his face smashed in…but I don’t think it will come courtesy of Dave Caplan.

All of the contestants from season 8 will fight on the card, including two added “veteran” bouts. Weigh-ins were good, for everyone except Wilson Gouveia. The dude came in 3 pounds over the 185lb limit (non-title fighters are allowed a pound overage) and the commission did not let him cut any more weight for his own safety’s sake. He can still fight, but forfeits 20% of his purse to his opponent, Jason MacDonald.

The finale goes down at 6pm PT on Spike TV. Should be a doozy.

Phillipe Nover (155) vs. Efrain Escudero (156)
I pick Nover by decision.

Ryan Bader (205) vs. Vinicius Magalhaes (205)
Hopefully Bader has improved by leaps and bounds…he didn’t impress me much on the show. Magalhaes by rear-naked choke.

Kevin Burns (171) vs. Anthony Johnson (171)
This match hopefully closes the door on, “Finger-gate” In their last bout, Burns was losing badly but inadvertently poked Johnson in the eye. Johnson went down as if he were shot, and the ref missed the eye poke, so he awarded Kevin “Feel the” Burns the fight. That’s not his real nick name, but it SHOULD be!!
