TUF 9 Finale: Chris Lytle vs Kevin Burns
Another match has been added to the Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale, featuring UFC veteran Chris “Lights Out” Lytle against Kevin “Feel the” Burns.
Lytle is coming off of a slugfest decision loss to Marcus Davis at UFC 93, both former pro boxers. Lytle has a pedestrian 5-9 record in the UFC, but the company loves him, and he usually puts on exciting fights, thus the constant invites to fight.
Burns is also coming off of a loss, to Anthony Johnson in their second encounter. Burns fought Johnson in July 2008 but the fight ended up with an accidental eye-poke by Burns. The referee missed it and awarded the bout to Burns by TKO, but neither party was satisfied with the ruling. Well, I suppose Johnson was more upset about it than “Feel the,” so an immediate rematch was booked at the Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale, where Johnson won by definitive head kick KO.
The TUF 9 Finale looks like this so far:
MAIN CARD
Lightweight finalist No. 1 vs. No. 2
Welterweight finalist No. 1 vs. No. 2
Clay Guida vs. Diego Sanchez
Nate Diaz vs. Joe Stevenson (unconfirmed)
Matt Brown vs. Anthony Johnson (unconfirmed)
